DMU is developing its new sustainability strategy and cannot do this without your views. Please come along and share your ideas and perceptions around sustainability at DMU at one of our consultation events, which have been designed to cater for everyone. You can attend either in person, or online – there’s even one that includes pizza! So come along and help us shape our shared future:
· Monday 19 May, 2pm - 4pm. Online via Teams
· Tuesday 20 May, 6pm - 7.30pm. Pizza for the Planet event at the SDG Hub, Heritage House
· Wednesday 21 May, 3pm - 5pm. Hugh Aston
Please fill out the online form to book on to any of these events. If you can’t attend then you can still use your voice by completing the online survey. The deadline for completion is Friday 30 May.
Past initiatives that have been implemented in response to previous feedback include:
· Placing more bird boxes on campus to support biodiversity
· Creating a wildflower area on campus at the back of the Queens Building
· Setting up a student swap shop to reduce clothes waste
· Running regular free carbon literacy training for students, giving practical education on climate change issues
· Running monthly litter picks as part of our Hedgehog Friendly Campus initiative
