Description

Politics is hugely stigmatised. There appears to be an inbuilt assumption that politicians are corrupt and in it for themselves. People look at the news, see Boris Johnson and the party-gate allegations, and get very angry. As a Politics lecturer, this is hugely frustrating. Politics is everywhere, and not all of it is bad. This session will take you on a ride to show you a different slant on politics. It can be corrupt; there can be propaganda; but there is so much more. It might even be amusing, depending upon which political lens is used (and we're not talking party politics here). Everything contains politics, in some form or another. It's just we turn a blind eye to so much of the mundane, everyday politics that happens and just see the nasty stuff from Westminster.

Places can be booked up to one hour before the event. Registrants will receive a link to join the talk up to 24 hours before the event.
